Yard Sale - Vintage Pens and other Treasures

Mom and I set out early this morning to run by a church sale (Semi Annual) that we always attend. It has not been lucky for me over the past couple of years. The only thing I found today was a 4th of July bunting that I will be adding to my display next year.

There was a yard sale on Craigslist that look very interesting but was way on the other side of town. I talked Mom into riding over because they had a vintage sign I was interested in. I am glad we went, although I missed out on the sign I did get a lot of other good junk! Mom and I both walked away very satisfied.

I purchased this box of old pens. I have had pretty good luck selling pens on Etsy. I have not done any research on them yet but hoping there are some winners in this box.

I also bought several Frozen Charlotte dolls made in Japan and one other Victorian style doll (she was thrown in for free since she was missing a hand and a foot). They all look lovely in this little tin laundry basket.

I also bought a ton of small itty bitty stuff. The Chero Cola bottle openers are actually from the 1910-1920's. Chero Cola became RC Cola. So these were a fun find. Love the one that's shaped like a shoe. The Dairy bottle opener is a local piece to be added to my collection.

Dixie Cups - wow first you can't find any of the holders and then they turn up everywhere. I love these because they are marked Dixie Cup and have the pattern on them. He threw in the old cup dispenser and 3 boxes of cups for free.

And who doesn't want a pair of 1920's underwear! These were just too pretty for only $1.

A stocking stretcher and a postcard holder. The postcard holder will come in handy for my large collection of postcards. Great way for me to display my them during the Holidays.

And last but not least, this is an absolutely stunning necklace (sterling/marcasite). I love it!

Oh I almost left this cutie out, such a fun quirky find. This little piece was just too cute, she actually lays eggs!

Hope you are having a great weekend!

Shopping Downtown - Vintage Story Book Dolls

Mom and I decided to head downtown and check out some of the Antique stores today. We have a favorite that we like to visit from time to time. I saw a lot of things I would like to have brought home  with me but the prices were ridiculous. I did manage to find one small inexpensive thing there, I have been looking for a old dixie cup holder for a while now and I finally found one.

We also spotted this before we left, I had to take a photo:

I hit it big at our next stop, found a large lot of vintage Nancy Ann Storybook Dolls (price was fantastic). I just love these little dolls, they have the sweetest little faces. Will probably sell some and keep some! I was really excited to get the 4th of July one, already planning to add it to my decor next year.

I also picked up this old Sheaffers Pen set.

Such a fun day! Best part - spending time with my lovely mother.

Hope you are having a great weekend!
